11th, 12th, 6166th TAC Recon Reunion

The Ninth Annual 11th, 12th and 6166th Tac Recon Reunion will be held in Savannah, Georgia, on April 25-29, 2002, at the Landmark Inn on Hunter Army Air Field, which is located in Savannah.

A block of hotel rooms has been set aside for attendees at the best negotiated price, based on one or two persons per room. Entertainment, sightseeing tours, cocktail parties and our annual banquet are currently on the agenda. We also have scheduled a tour of the 8th Air Force Museum, a riverboat dinner cruise, a tour of historic Savannah, a presentation by Ken Rowe (the MiG-15 pilot who escaped from North Korea to Kimpo AFB in 1953, and our annual banquet and business meeting.

There is an attendance fee of $185 to feed our reunion kitty and cover the cost of the banquet, hospitality room, coffee service, tours and entertainment, and incidental expenses such as postage, printing, etc., but individual attendees are responsible for their own hotel bill.

If you were a member of the 11th or 12th Squadron or the 6166th Air Weather Recon Flight, or one of their support organizations in the years 1950 to 1960 during the Korean War and aftermath, we would like to see you at the next Reunion. Previous Reunion locations were Tucson, Arizona; Mobile, Alabama; Branson, Missouri; San Antonio, Texas; Washington, DC; Dayton, Ohio; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Pensacola, Florida.
